Exploring Timaru

I woke up at 8am after having a better night’s sleep.  It was nice to get ready in the Kiwi style of taking my time and not having to worry about getting ready for work though I am ready to go home now.  Just a few more days and then I will be home, I hope I can bring this lovely weather back with me as the UK has been battered again and again by horrendous storms and rain.  Faith prepared my breakfast and we chatted about this and that.

I decided to walk into town which only took 10 minutes.

The Timaru city museum was the first place I came across.  There was no entrance fee but a donation.  There were lots of stuff and too much reading which I find tiresome.

However the Mauri art exhibition very interactive, well planned and informative even though it cost 22 NZD to get in, it was well worth it.

As I was walking to Arthur St cafe, I saw a yellow bee car, I started to take a photo and the owner, who was sat in it, called me over and we chatted about bees. She was so fanatical about bees that she even had at least 4 tattoos of them.  She admired my nails which I shall sadly miss as on Saturday I will be having the polish  taken off.  We also discussed what she should see as she is going to Yorkshire in May.

At Arthur Street kitchen cafe, I had another delicious lunch and sat outside so I could top up my tan. I booked a Stress relief massage at 2.30pm so I chilled at the speights ale House with a pineapple juice until the time was ready to go to the appointment.

The massage was very intense and her method was quite painful but effective afterwards.  I had misread the price but it was still a good price 45 NZD for neck, shoulder and back which is £22.50.

I decided to walk back and saw a siris cloud formation that looked similar to what I had been looking at in the Mauri rock art.

I chilled until 7pmish then drove down to a Chinese restaurant I had seen that had lots of gluten free options.

I decided to have an early night as I have a big journey tomorrow and want to leave at 7am in the morning.
