After a long 10 hour flight, we arrived at the airport at 9.30am. As I entered the customs hall, I was greeted by a small band of musicians who were singing and playing various guitars.

Alas I was unable to take a photo as I was ushered towards the coronavirus checkers who were checking everyone with a temperature gun and collecting the form we had filled in, then it was passport control. After swiftly collecting my big suitcase, it was onto security who scrutinised every bit of luggage.
I then headed out and on seeing where I could buy a sim card, tried to purchase one but alas I couldn’t find my passport. Panic infused with tiredness filled my senses as I tried to locate the vital missing document. A kind security guard reassured me as uncontrollable fear tried to reck havoc with my reasoning. He helped me to check, letting me retrace my steps and encouraged me to recheck my hold bag, I discovered it was in a different place. Panic over, I went and got a sim card and exited the arrival hall.
My host was there waiting with a paper sign and took me to his car. The heat and humidity hit me as I left the nice air conditioned airport. Unfortunately his air con was broken and I sat on an extremely hot seat. His house was a 5 minute drive away. His wife greeted me as we arrived and helped me to settle in.
Later after a much needed nap and a shower, I was driven to the local supermarket to see if they sold Gluten Free soy sauce. Unlike most British supermarkets which have a good section and all collected in one place. The supermarket had them within their own products, thankfully well labelled.
Dinner was a spicy, rich chicken broth with lots of delicious vegetables.
